From New Pages: The Foliate Oak Literary Magazine is a monthly online literary journal with international circulation published by the undergraduate students at University of Arkansas-Monticello. Each issue contains fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, artwork and photography from established and emerging writers and artists.
Happy to see “Da Eye Wife / Woods Number 1” found a home this morning among the fine e-pages of Foxglove Journal. Thank you to Editor Elizabeth Gibson for including this work. The title, interestingly, is one borrowed from a Shooglenifty song. The poem could also be read as a companion to another poem I wrote in the fall titled, “Cèilidh for Angus” which will be published in both Wild Musette and Picaroon Poetry this spring.
