Thank you to Poet and Editor Cristina M.R. Norcross for sharing my work as Blue Heron’s February Featured Author :
These are breathtaking poems of music, light, and nature’s dance. Words float and flicker across the page, as we breathe in these notes on life, filled with sumptuous details. You will want to read, savor, and re-read these poems. A delight to the eyes, ears, and heart—these poems truly sing!
Blue Heron Review is a joy of a journal in which to publish, so this is an especially sweet shout-out. Their Winter 2019 issue is soon to publish, and though they are not currently accepting submissions, keep an eye on this page for that window to open.
What an amazing event last night at the Performing Arts Center! Am happy to have shared the stage with writers Amy Butcher, Brooke Schafer and Blossom Twitchell. Topping off the evening was the work of artists Mary Goddard and Jennifer Younger. Thank you to the Sitka Fine Arts Camp crew, Old Harbor Books and Kenley Jackson for holding space for women to share stories and words. Even dinner was provided for us backstage: soup, bread, super greens salad and homemade cookies. And talk about a fine crowd – we all braved cold-for-Sitka temps to catch the spin of tales. A perfect evening!
